DANCE,  FITNESS, ARTS  AND WELLBEING  IN SCHOOLS

We provide morning, lunch and after school clubs for nursery, primary and secondary schools.

Each class will be tailored to suit the Key Stage group, fulfilling the national curriculum criteria.

We work with a maximum of 20 students, although if the club is well established and has been running for over a year, the teacher may welcome more.

WELLBEING

YOGA AND MEDITATION

Yoga for children is very popular, not only for its physical benefits of greater body awareness, coordination, balance, strength and flexibility, but also to introduce breathing, meditation and relaxation techniques that help calm and focus the mind – invaluable in today’s fast paced, loud, and busy lifestyles.  The classes for children under 10 years will be taught with an exciting story. The older groups may focus on tools which could help them get through their exams. Mats are essential.

YOGA AND DANCE

This club can also be combined with dance for a fitness, stretching and relaxing class all in one.

CAPOEiRA

A fantastic combination of dance and non contact martial arts with music and sometimes singing, this is one for the boys and the girls. Disciplined, fun, energtic and exciting. The eye contact and pair work builds confidence and team work.

PERFORMING ARTS

DRAMA

The classic favourite, confidence building, expressive, energetic and fun. Learn a scene from a popular play and set it on stage together throughout the term, ending in a performance at the end of term for an invited audience. Taught by one of our exceptional teachers who are also professional actors, this is a chance to learn self expression within a group and get a taste of what the acting profession could be like.

MUSICAL THEATRE

One of our extremely talented teachers can break the hour or day into singing, dance and acting to work on an all singing, dancing and acting scene from any musical. Fantastic, if we don't say so ourselves.

SINGING

A chance to learn this fun, happy discipline which greatly improves breath, posture, voice and confidence. Learning rhythm, harmonies and expressing ones voice releases serotonin - our happy drug!

Cheerleading is fun and demanding, with or without poms, the group learn a short cheer about their school, put to a routine.

Sometimes stunts can be used, so the routine can involve cartwheels, forward rolls and balances (mats essential). If working with poms the arms are toned and the group feel like the real thing.  The group create new cheers, about whatever is current, encouraging a poetic practice.
